Metal framed doors came out about early 25. The 25 Coupes had them but not sure if the sedans did. Looking at the door fronts they are hinged at the front. The coupes had the lock on the passenger and the drivers side didn’t have one. They very well could be for the 26- 27 T’s. My opinion is the came off the front of the car since they are a pair.

The door lock was placed only on the passenger side for some reason. Maybe the right hand drive Fords were different? But that’s another question!

Here’s an earlier post with some information about the closed car 24-27 doors. Bruce McCalley’s metal door information is in it using the factory part numbers. It’s kind of surprising! http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/25 ... 1351792740

Check it out.

Hi Gene, I have a '27 Fordor and by the original engine number it was made in mid October, 1926. I just measured the front doors and they are 47 1/2" high at the highest point. Please note that the top of the doors taper from the front to the back and I measured the height at the highest point. I measured the width just below the belt line moulding and it is 24 1/4 ". I can't tell from the pictures you posted, but my doors have BUDD stamped on the inside just below the window opening and above the window winder handle hole. My Fordor is an original body with all original wood and the doors shut perfectly.
I hope this helps.

I have a 24 Coupe with wood framed doors. They measure 47 1/4” x 24 3/16”.
At a quick measurement I measured what Gene did. I did it again and took my time and remeasured what I posted. As mentioned in the my earlier post with the info Bruce McCalley put together the part numbers seem to be the same. The metal framed doors appeared in 25 so they may work for 25-27 T’s. And probably for the Coupes.
