Re: ?1917? Depot Hack up for auction..

Why do sellers think it is necessary to give background on Ford and/or the Model T. I have seen some just cut and paste from Wikipedia.
Tell about the car you are selling. The entire history of the Model T is mostly irreverent to the vehicle being sold.

Buy it and don't restore it. It's only original once. If you need a high speed ring gear they turn up once in a while, so do auxiliary transmissions, 30 MPH is plenty fast enough.

Re: Wood for roadster body.

Be careful with Sycamore, some people have strong allergies to it. The dust on your skin can cause a rash IF ALLERGIC. White oak is used for wine and whiskey barrels because the cellular structure is closed. Red oak has open cells that will hold moisture. Having said that, if you use red oak, it wil...

Re: foam filled tires

I have heard that sometimes car museum displays use foam filled tires to cut out the maintenance issue of keeping tires full of air.

Re: CANCELLED - Luray 2020, Mid Atlantic Prewar Swap Meet

I would encourage everyone who was planning on going to the Luray Swap meet to make a donation to the VFW post where the swap meet is held. The Model T Times had a great article about all the help they provide to area veterans, and renting their space and selling food at the swap meet is a source of...

Re: FS complete set of 50 state license plates 1942

Nice collection Just to be annoying, there were only 48 states in 1942. Alaska and Hawaii weren't granted statehood until 1959. I do see the Alaska plate though.

Sorry I couldn't resist I am just bored enough to look that up.

Before I added the fasteners, the boot blew off twice while driving. The sides of the boot have the same type of fasteners that I undo to remove the bo...
