Centerdoor weight

I recently brought home a 1919 centerdoor. I have never been able to find a weight for the centerdoor sedans. Does anybody here know?

According to the encyclopedia, 1875 lbs shipping weight.

I have found references to the weight being as light as 1395 to 1543. When we towed ours, it sure seemed heavier than that. I agree with Humblej at or near the 1900 lb amount. The only way to know for sure is to take it to a scale and weigh it. I think the price is less than $15 the last time I scaled anything.

We have a 1927 wood-bodied pie wagon, and a 1920, all-steel, C-cab TT with an express body, hit and miss engine with a can crusher in the bed. The C-cab feels like double the weight of the pie wagon when towing. Haven't had the opportunity to get either on a scale yet, but I will weigh them both eventually.

Our late 1919 Center door is in pieces right now for a ground-up restoration, so I am unable to weigh it as yet.

My '22 Centerdoor is 1,875 lbs.

Saw this post and looking at the encyclopedia the heaviest T’s built were the 26-27 four door Sedans weighing 2004 lbs. The encyclopedia has lots of detailed T information and is interesting to read from time to time. This was another reminder.

Based on the performance of my Centerdoor I can't imagine that the heavier 4 door sedans were able to get out of their own way, especially with 5 passengers.

The MTFCA encyclopedia indicates a Shipping Weight with additives for electrical components. BUT not sure if shipping weight also includes crating

Find somewhere that has a certified scale.
Local landscape material supply - truck stop.
Weigh your trailer loaded with the vehicle.
Reweighs are usually free if done in a few days.
Don’t take on fuel or any other payload
that would change the weight.
Go drop off your vehicle & reweigh.
The difference is your vehicle weight.

I've had my 21 center door across the scale with tools under the back seat and three grown men inside. We hit 2900 and that was a certified scale at a tractor pull. A little over 2k empty is accurate
