John Reagan - technical library

Post by SteveBoothroyd » Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:32 pm

Does anyone know what happened to John Reagans technical library?
I've been out of the loop for quite a while.

Steve Boothroyd

Try John Regan, not Reagan.

Not sure how long you have been "out of the loop". But in 2018 Birdhaven bought FunProjects and the FunProjects site expired a short time later. Birdhaven recently bought the new inventory & machinery from Bob's Antique Auto Parts in Rockford Il (Bob is still in business selling original parts).

Thankfully someone created a WEBPAGE to save old webpages https://web.archive.org/web/20201203202 ... jects.com/
Unfortunately they don't connect all the links. But its best to capture the source data and save in t he forum. Perhaps we can add to a forum page like Vowel art I'm going to download all the files, 50+, (PDF's) Techinfo and Instructions. I

John had a very good long term friend, Ron Patterson, that still rebuilds coils.

Until recent years, they were always together at Hershey and other events, like large swap meets.

Ron had a rather extensive library and downsized when he moved to a new location.

Ron donated all his library to the MTFCA Museum in Richmond, Indiana and they are available for research there.

I talked with Ron recently and he said he had not heard from John for some time now.

Ron does wish that John would call him again and catch up on life and other new activities.

This great information should be a permanent part of the MTFCA resources page. There are also others who have gathered lots of T information that’s really useful.
Maybe the resources page could have these as contributors.

I would add the Cimorelli Model T library.

It would sure benefit the older T members and greatly benefit the younger. It makes good sense to me. At the very least the website addresses could be listed all in one place. Wow that seems simple.

Thanks for the links. I need to build that wheel press. I just sent the PDF to my office manager to print for me, and he just came back with full size roll up prints! I'll be able to hang it on the wall while I build it!

It would seem the Museum would preserve these files or perhaps store them on site here for all to use?

Take good care of them. When I inquired a few years ago all the copies had been sold and the masters were lost.

I have some of those copies. His wife still has the masters. No one wants to purchase them from her.

I will download these files as well. Thank you. I remembered that I had already been advised to use this technical library but had forgotten about it. I need assignment help for a technical project, and it looks like I will be able to find a lot of useful info here. I'm also going to use this online source https://essays.edubirdie.com/assignment-help to secure a written part of my project and get a good result. Now I'm going to explore John Reagan library more.
